We kept on saying “education is a right, not a
privilege” – it is clearly stated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
that education should be free from the elementary and fundamental levels. Aside
from that, it should not just be accessible to everyone but it should be on its
highest quality for it will empower and flourish the youth.
However,
despite the fact that education is free, as of February 2020, there are still
more or less than 260,000,000 children who does not have an access to education
for some reasons – mainly because of poverty, lack of instructors and
facilities, child labor and more.
But still,
education is important to everyone, especially the youth, because they are the
one who will lead the future. In addition, education also plays a huge role in
eradicating poverty and hunger, promoting sustained and inclusive economic
growth. So if everyone have an access to education, we might have a bright
future ahead us.
